Currently, users can able to search for the movie they want to watch, but they don’t search what movies are screening at their available location and time.
For eg : They are two types of movie watchers, the one who already planned what to watch and find the time to watch the particular movie, while the other one has time but doesn’t know what to watch at that specified time.

Design a user-friendly app, with a new flow. Where users can able to book their tickets quickly and easily, adding new features to solve the above problems mentioned.
Primary Research : Information from direct interaction with user, like interview, survey etc
First I conduct user interviews with ‘ real users who mostly use the online mode to book the movie tickets’, I empathize with 5 users (movie buffs) who are love to watch the movie in theater experience and I interacted with them and get info like what are the issues they face while booking tickets via online, what are features they feel to have in the future.
Secondary Research : Information from books, articles or journals
We analysed industry reports and other public research studies in event and concert industry (software and otherwise).
After conducting User interviews, contextual inquiry and analyzing the gathered data, I was able to categorize the pain points into these 3 categories
The research made it evident how different users would use the app differently. To cater to this, I categorized them into three user profiles based on their goals and tasks

Here we analyzed leading competitors in the market in online movie ticket booking apps and sites and categorized them into two types.
User Task : Use flimo app to book movie tickets and make an advance order for snacks easily and quickly
Taking the time to draft iterations of each screen of the app on paper ensured that the elements that made it to digital wireframes would be well-suited to address user pain points. For the home screen, I prioritized a quick and easy booking process to help users save time.
As the initial design phase continued, I made sure to base screen designs on feedback and findings from the user research.
We conducted an “ unmoderated usability ” study with 5 participants and gathered the data and prepared these insights.
Here is the deatiled usablity study reports
Early designs, home page have a movie list one by one going down, but during usability study user’s don’t like the long scroll the choose the movie, so we re-designed into cards with category of movies
The final high-fidelity prototype presented cleaner user flows for book movie tickets and checkout. Some new features are also added which is not available in competitor's application but users need that.
Impacts
The app makes users feel like booking tickets by just few step process, additionally we added the snack ordering feature this will really helpful for a family audience, who are all book their snacks along with ticket and reduce the time on queue during the movie interval time
2. What I learned:
While designing the Flimo app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app’s designs.
